All-Star Bound

Savannah made the all-star team. It is very intense with practiced 6 days a week. She should learn a lot and impove her skills and have fun. We have a stomach bug or something going around today. Savannah has been sick all day and Caroline vomited once. Hopefully it's just a 24 houor bug.

Getting back into the swing of things

We have been so busy that I haven't had the time to update in forever. School, softball and baseball are winding down with only two weeks left for everything. I don't know what we are going to do with ourselves with nothing scheduled on the calendar. Savannah has a chance to be on the All-star softball team. We are waiting to hear if she made it or not. That's about all that is going on here. I'll try to update more often than once every 5 months. Here are some pictures of the girls in their uniforms.

Wow, it's been a while

Sorry I haven't written in a long time. I have been so busy with the holidays and having the kids home from school that it's been chaotic to say the least. So with the new year I plan to write more often and keep in touch. I've update pictures and the blog background.

Out trip to the tree farm

This year we continued our tradition of going to a tree farm to cut down our Christmas tree. We went to a new Christmas tree farm this year. The one we went to last year was great but it is about an hour away and it's an all day trip to get the tree so we to one about 15 minuted from the house. When we got the the farm they greeted us and asked if we had been there before. We told them no, so they told us a little about the farm and which lots we could choose our tree from. They also told us that they had goats we could feed if we wanted to. Of course the kids were all for feeding the goats. They gave each of the girls some bread to feed the goats. We walked down the drive way a little to where they had wagon for the kids to ride in and also had cart to put the trees on for easily bring the trees back to the car. We got the largest wagon and were on our way. We finally agreed on a tree after looking at for about 30 minutes. I love getting a fresh tree because you can look at it from all angles and find the perfect one. Once we found the "one" the kids helped to cut the tree down. After cutting the tree down we went to feed the goats and then went on a hayride. The girls had a great time and we will definitely go back next year.

Bargain Hunting

Black Friday has come and gone. I have never gone out on Black Friday because my husband is usually working. This year was no exception so I stayed home with the kids. I did get my 4 year old a leapster with a case and a charger for $53.00 shipped from the Leapforg website last week. I still don't know what I am getting my 2 year old and 17 month old. I was considering a pop up play tent and maybe some snap and style dolls but I'm not sure. I guess it depend on what kind of deals I can find between now and Christmas. It's hard to figure out what to buy the younger girls because we already have so many of the toys for their age from their older sister. We have little people, dolls and strollers, play kitchen with food, shopping cart, dress up clothes and play horses. We have most of the categories covered. I seem to always wait until the last minute to buy Christmas presents. The older girls have their birthdays in January so I have to think of birthday presents too. Are you done with your Christmas shopping or do you wait until the last minute like me?

Mommy Hates Me

The words my 4 year old tells her 2 year old sister. I've entered a new phase of parenting, the Mommy hates me phase. I guess next comes the I hate Mommy phase. The story of why my 4 year old thinks I hate her. I was putting my 17 month old to bed and the older girls were supposed to be in the bathroom washing their hands. I walked out of my 17 month old's room and saw that the bathroom door was shut. Usually when the bathroom door is shut that mean that they are getting into trouble. I open the door to find the 4 year old holding the bottle of bathroom cleaner and my 2 year old with a wet spot on her head. I was furious, so I yelled at my 4 year old that I am mad at her and can't believe that she did this. I quickly strip my 2 year old and ran down the hall to get a towel. That's when I heard the 4 year old tell the 2 year old, "Mommy hates me." I felt like the worst mom ever. I gave my 2 year old a bath and got her ready for bed again. At bedtime I was tucking my 4 year old in and talking to her. I gave her the "you don't ever spray anything on you sister" talk. Then after that I told her that I didn't hate her, I was just mad at her and that I will never hate her no matter what. We ended the night with a hug and kiss and an "I love you".

Copy Cat Caroline

My 17 month old is too cute. I know all parents say that but she is so funny. My girls love singing the intro song to the Hannah Montana tv show, "Best of Both Worlds". They sing it and even include the laugh at the end of the song. Well, my 17 month old has started singing the song too. You can't really understand what she is saying but know that is what she is singing, but she does the laugh at the end too. My husband and I started laughing because it was so cute. Then the other day she started to fake cough and the walked over to the garbage can like she was going to throw up. The history behind the garbage can thing is my other daughter Lainey has a very sensitive gag reflex so when she starts coughing she usually will throw up and usually in the garbage can. I know so gross. But it was still funny. What funny things do your kids do?
